Meatball and Sausage Bombs

This is your new go-to savory appetizer. Need to throw together a quick snack for hungry mouths? We’ve got you covered.


  • 4 cooked meatballs
  • 1 hot Italian sausage link, cooked (sliced into 1/2 inch bites)
  • Mozzarella or Provolone cheese, to taste
  • 1 cup Minerva Dairy Farmer's Butter Cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz. Minerva Dairy Garlic and Herb Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. hard Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1 roll of pizza dough
  • Sauce:
  • 1 can of crushed pear tomatoes
  • 4 oz. Minerva Dairy Garlic and Herb Butter
  • 1 Tbsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. sugar


Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Roll out dough and brush with melted Garlic and Herb Butter. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Cut dough into squares large enough to roll meatballs into (approximately 3" x 3") and place a small amount of mozzarella or provolone Cheese in each square and top with a meatball or piece of Italian sausage.

Roll each corner into the center covering the meat and cheese. Make sure each “bomb" has no holes in the dough.

Place on a baking sheet and brush each "bomb" with Garlic and Herb Butter.

Bake at 375 degrees in the oven until dough is golden.

To make the sauce:

Melt 4 oz. Minerva Dairy Garlic and Herb Butter, add 1 can of crushed pear tomatoes, oregano and sugar. Simmer for 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally.
